At Burton Agnes we encourage our pupils to participate and support good causes. Raising awareness and raising money for charities reflects our school values of friendship, care and trust and encourages our pupils to make a positive contribution to the world in which they live. Today was the brain child of our School Council who wanted to help children and families with heart conditions, with all money raised going to Children’s Heart Surgery Fund at the Leeds congenital Heart Unit.
This is a cause that is very close to our own hearts at Burton Agnes. Not only did the School Council encourage their fellow pupils to dress in red and bring in a donation but they also set up a cake and juice stall at break time in an attempt to raise even more money. Thank you all for your generous donations of cakes and treats and for supporting this fabulous cause.
