Our School Day
The school day starts at 8.55am and finishes at 3.20pm. Learning starts from the minute the children walk through the door.
Morning break
Children have a break in the morning from 10.35am to 10.55 am. During this time the children can eat a piece of fruit. This is provided by school for the children in Class 1 and 2. The children in Class 1 also get a drink of milk should they wish.
Lunch
Children have lunch at 12.00 and lunchtime ends for all at 1.10pm. Children can choose to have a hot school dinner or brink a healthy packed lunch.
Home time
School finishes at 3.20pm.
Drop off and collection
At the beginning of the day, parents are encouraged to leave their children in the playground unless they are in Class 1. There is a member of staff on duty from 8.45am. Parents are always welcome to pop in to school before and after school as it helps to build a close relationship between home and school.
At the end of the day your child will be matched to an adult before they are allowed to leave. If your child is in Year 6 and you would like them to walk to and from school on their own, please put this in writing to the Head teacher. Please inform school if your child is going home with someone other than yourself. This is to keep children safe.
Getting to School
To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option. However if you need to use the car please can you take care when you use the car park and if you park on the road please respect our local residents. Burton Agnes Hall does allow us to park in their car park so why not park and stride to school!
